Bioferm

Clark Botanic Garden has “Black Gold” for your soil…

Some years ago, the gardeners at Clark Botanic Garden discovered a reliable soil conditioner to use in enriching the planting beds at Clark. Made on Long Island, this product, called Bioferm, is rich in organic matter and is fermented in manufacturing to kill weed seeds.

Top dressing with Bioferm or working it into your planting beds provides essential nutrients to your plants, promotes vigorous growth, improves soil structure and increases water retention of the soil.

Impressed with the results obtained at Clark Botanic Garden, Fanny Dwight Clark Memorial Garden Inc. decided to obtain Bioferm in bulk and offer it for sale to their members and the visiting public.

Bioferm is sold at Clark Botanic Garden on Saturdays between 10 am and 1 pm. Call 516.484.2208 to arrange pick up at other times or to check on the products availability. Our stock of Bioferm tends to sell out fast during certain times of the year. Each bag weighs approximately 30 pounds and costs $6.00 for members and $8.00 for non-member.

Once you’ve used Bioferm in your garden, we know you’ll be back year after year.
