After more than four years of dried-out stream beds and murky, muddy ponds, the pond system is up and running. Come Smell the Roses!
On Saturday, June 18, 2022, the Rose Garden was the place to be for all things roses! Rose enthusiasts joined Cathy Guzzardo, Master Gardener and Master Rosarian, Board Member of The Fanny Dwight Clark Memorial Garden, Inc. for a rose-scented tour of the luscious rose garden, looking the finest it has in years. Cathy and her crew of Nassau County Master Gardener Volunteers tend the rose garden, and their dedication to this lovely garden was on full display this day. An informative talk on roses, their pruning and care and a craft activity for children were all part of this lovely day.
Thank you Cathy and the CCE Master Gardeners for all your hard work in the Rose Garden. It looks wonderfu!
Thank you Mike for all your assistance in helping the volunteers getting the area pristine.
